CertainTeed
-CertainTeed is a durable vinyl siding that comes in many styles, colors, and textures.
-This unique vinyl siding comes in small rows of material that are interlocked together like a jigsaw puzzle to ensure precise alignment when installed. These interlocking joints adjust to expansion and contraction with the different seasons.
-There is no need to paint this siding as it has a blended color throughout the siding that will not fade because of its unique UV protection
-This vinyl material will not split, crack, or warp, unlike wood siding.
-Vinyl siding resists dirt and seasonal staining; also, it can be easily cleaned with soap and water
-Due to its lightweight materials and easy installation process, installation costs are lower than fiber cement siding.
Hardie Board
-Hardie board is a fiber cement siding that comes in small rows.
-Fiber cement siding requires painting during installation and in the future, after installation.
-Fiber cement siding is 2 times the cost of traditional vinyl siding.
-Installation labor costs are higher with fiber cement as it weighs 300 pounds per 100 sq. ft. of siding, therefore, requiring more labor and care with materials.
-Fiber cement siding is not scratch resistant and is prone to cracking when it is improperly installed.
